خرنگ 
خرنگ به میوه نخل در مرحلهای گفته میشود که هنوز کامل نرسیده و به رنگ سبز یا زرد است. یعنی خرنگ، همان میوه نخل قبل از رسیدن کامل و شیرین شدن است که بعد از مرحله خرنگ، میوه به رطب (خرمای تازه و نرم) تبدیل میشود و در نهایت خشک شده و به خرما تبدیل میشود. در مناطق مختلف، خرنگ گاهی به صورت تازه خورده میشه یا در غذاها و ترشیها استفاده میشه چون طعم خاصی داره و برای بعضیها خوشمزه است.
